Pre-K3 (Young)
This class is devised for those who miss the kindergarten cut off date of Sept. 1st and children in the Pre K 2 class that have the ability for the next level. They follow a structured day which helps them learn there are expectations of them. They also learn there are places and times for things. Children are introduces to pencils for tracing, cooking, history international, math, science, and outdoor play. This class has "helper jobs" for everyone, which teaches them respect and unity. Children are taught the freedom to make choices. Children should be completely potty trained before graduating from this class. Lunch, two snacks, and art supplies are included in tuition. Parents must bring bug spray, change of clothes, crib sheet, blanket, diapers, and wipes (if needed) that are all labeled. Children must be here by9:30. Goals: 1) understand directional words 2) Puzzles 10-20 pieces 3) tracing dotted lines 4) pattern cutting 5) recognition of upper and lower case alphabet 6) recognition of numbers 1-15 7) counting 1-25 8) patterning and sequencing 9) know colors and shapes 10)pattern cutting 11)tracing patterns & alphabet 12)drawing shapes |
