In September 1979, surrounded by woods and dirt roads, Francesca Gardner decided to pursue her lifelong dream and open a preschool that would be located at her childhood home. Her first enrollment consisted of six children. The school has blossomed, and is licensed for one hundred and thirty nine children. In 2002, her son Samuel Simpson and wife Sherri decided to keep the business in the family. Between the three of us,we have created a center to be very proud of.
We strive to give our best to each child and parent. This requires everyone employed to be a nurturing loving care giver, and educator.
As fast as the world changes, we want the children of Storybook Ranch to have a head start and be prepared for their years to come. We can not do this alone. Parent involvement and open communication is essential. We teach our children we are their school family and everyone helps and respects each other. We encourage our children to be involved in classroom activities. We invite parents to visit the classroom and encourage them to participate in the curriculum. Parents are welcome to bring their own projects that express their heritage. We feel it is important that children not only receive a great education, but also have time to be kids.
We want to assure parents that their children are safe. Each entry has a coded key pad lock in which only the parents of the center and the staff have. Being a school of two buildings, we also have security cameras in each room. This allows the directors availability to watch the rooms at any given time. Parents are able to watch the cameras by appointment time only.
We welcome you to come visit our center without the pressure of scheduling appointment times. Therefore, we have an open door policy for tours from 9:00-12:00 and 2:00-4:00. Any other times of day require appointments so we can assure you our full attention during our busy times. |
